Ran again
I ran again yesterday. 1 km, walk 200 m, then run again 500 m something. Total running time is 9.21.14. Towards the end, it started to rain. I'd like to get soaked in the rain while running, but it was just a light shower.
I stopped because some kid couldn't bike properly. First, it's a pedestrian's track. Second, obviously I was taking the left lane, he should just move to right because there's hardly any space on my left. Well, that forced me to stop. And when you stop while pushing hard, you can't start anymore. It's like losing momentum, the breathing and all are messed up.
Fortunately, no leg pain today. Is it because of the warm up or my daily walking to MRT?

2km, ouch
this afternoon i ran 2km. i tried to run 5km, but couldn't make it coz i hadn't eaten any proper meal since yesterday noon. which is why my stomach was in great pain after running around 1.2 km. so i set that at least i have to make it 2 km since 5 km looks too impossible. my body was about to give up at about 400 m to finish. but once i have set a terget, i have to make it. that's my principle. and thus i made it.
on to stats.
time: 11.55.66
speed: 10.06 km/h or 167.68 m/min or 2.79 m/s
hm.. that means my speed for 5 km is worse than this. i thought this is slow enough because after a few hundred meters, i felt sluggish and slow. but turns out the speed is still beter than my 5 km. hoh..

i felt i'm quite fast at the beginning. but in the middle, pain in stomach again.
but i thought i still maintained a good speed.
in the end, it's 31.57.51.
that's 156.45 m/min or 9.39 km/h or 2.61 m/s.
if i were to achieve my best speed, which is 165.71 min/s for 4.5 km, my time have to be 30.17 min.
so the target is now 30 minutes. looks difficult.

now about wild arms 4.
i completed this last saturday.
what a sad rpg, i mean in story. a lot of character in this game simply died. then towards end of the game, we're pretty much only left with the main characters and even less at the ending. and the death of someone make me quite sad, coz that someone is quite mysterious yet likeable. this game is too much. the next wild arms better go back to its root. 3 people saving the world with happy ending, hahaha...
of course, the battle system is not bad. it gives you more strategy variety. but the bosses are pretty easy if u play smartly. but the characters can't easily do what i want since some of their moves are dependent on their position. but overall, quite fun.
now, about the puzzle solving. what a disappointment. i want the original tools system to be back. and i don't want cheap puzzles that don't need any thinking. the platforming action on dungeon is welcome and apparently it will make a comeback.
for the next wild arms, i hope it go back to the first wild arms context. wild west + guardian + golem + kingdom + demon + magic. and btw, where is the golem in this one?
one more thing, u buy some items with your level. damn, what is that? to get sherrif star, u need 8080 levels and 1,470,000 gella. the gella is ok, but the level? dude? wtf? of course it's easier if u find the requirements from battles. but what is the chance?

after more than 1 week, back to running way.
this time it's 4.5 km. time is 29.57.68.
which is 150.19 m/s or 9 km/h.
almost 3 minutes slower compared to before.
yeah, the target this time is only to make the distance. so it's ok. besides, i felt quite a pain in my stomach. so i can't really push hard.

2km shit
i ran 2 km this time coz i don't want to run to long. i was tired and it's already late. i ran faster this time. the time is 11.29.88.
so it is 173.94 m/min or 10.44 km/h or 2.9 m/s.
this time, the pain appeared in different location, which is around my waist, left side. usually it is the right side.
time to 5 km with this speed is 28.75 min. man, i read that competitive speed is 25 min. and i already felt this is quite hard.
now that the 7th month is starting, people start burning papers. i hate these superstitious things. and here, they went rampage with the burning. damn waste of paper and polluting the air. the dead is dead. that's a fact. there's no reason for burning paper other than old superstition.
then the more stupid thing is these people burning paper in the middle of a small passage. damn assholes. they're obviously blocking the way. then i had to take the grass. and when i came back from running and took the grass again, i hit some shit. double asshole. this is what called "shit happens", literally.
now i hope the ghosts pay their house a visit. and to the dog's owner that never clean up the shit, i hope the ghosts visit your house too.
realisation: in my home country, i can easily get into the front garage and clean my shoes using the water tube. but here, got to get into the house, the toilet and clean it there, which is disgusting.

damn good speed
just run 4.4 km again. the time is 27.36.98. almost 1 minute faster compared to previous run. this is despite that i stopped to tie my shoe for a few secs.
the speed is 159.33 m/min or 9.56 km/h or 2.66 m/s. time to 5 km: 31.38 min (thanks to the Runner Calculator).
i felt that i can't make it midway, but i kept on going and managed to finish it in a sprint. i wish running doesn't give me this kind of wanting to give up feeling. but maybe that's the art. to defeat yourself. but swimming doesn't feel that bad though. i just felt i want to sink, which is worse ^_^ and deadly (x_x)
other than that, i had a medical screening today. glad everything is in Condition Green. i thought i was going to be in the underweight area. some people had been saying i'm getting thinner. but look guys, i'm in a healthy range. maybe it's just my face losing some fat...
it's also my first ever cholesterol check. quite worried about that, but on the other hand i believe it can't be too high. and what a relief it's in the safe zone. great!
and after that, a crazy lunch that surely increased the cholestrol level.

Sweating and coding and bye bye Montoya
just ran 4.4 km. the time is 28.25.81. that's 154.77 meter/min. my record speed. the further away, the faster :)
maybe this is because i ran almost 2 hours after dinner. i felt better during the run and can maintain the good speed.
last friday was 4 km in 26.30.33, which is 150.94 meter/min. dropping compared to previous.
wondering how i calculate the speed? i code it last week, using java with eclipse as the IDE. i want to pick up java, and i have to solve real problem to make the learning more interesting. then i came up with this runner calculator thing.
first i wrote the classes. in the end, there are 6 classes that i use. 2 of the classes are available in .NET, but not in java (or i don't know the existence of it). the 2 classes are TimeSpan and a text box that selects its text when you tab to it.
so i wrote my own TimeSpan class and extends the JTextField class to select its text when focussed on. after that, i feel that .NET do have its advantages. at least the TextBox is better, with validation built in and all.
on to montoya. i heard the news from my friend yesterday. what a shock. and the news about his immediate exit today adds to the shock. i don't believe that the immediate exit is for his own good. if i were him, i'd like to have my last GP to just enjoy it and pay tribute to the fans. mclaren, at least give him one farewell grand prix please.
i know i'll miss this guy, one of the best overtaker in current F1. bye montoya, i hope he rules the NASCAR and i hope i can see NASCAR once in a while.

half life or half dead day?
huff.. today i ran 4 km. got a lot of pain while running, especially in stomach. half dead.
on the bright side, the time was faster. it was 26.26.99. speed is 151.23 meter/minute. big improvement, but at the cost of half life.
someone i'm thinking of is not available anymore. half life?
i want to play ace combat now, but the time's only left 30 mins before sleep time. half dead.
i set up my laptop in living room now, becoming a ICS server while the router is down. inconvenient. but now i can play game and read walkthrough at the same time. half life.
saw new pictures of my good friend in fster that i've never met for long. some are nice/cute, but mostly not :( i hope those are caused by bad camera effect and inconsiderate photo selection. please don't let others see the worse photos. that's how you maintain the cool image :P half life.
i have just noticed kompas is changing the inner page to index2.html. no wonder all these days the news stay the same. but the new page layout is totally crap. why do they put the news in a small column extending down. it's a damn waste of space. now people have to scroll more for less information. on the bright side, there is RSS now. oh, at last. but only 5 headlines though. another half assed action? half dead.

today, i was supposed to do last thursday's training again: 1.6 run, 0.4 walk, 1.6 run, coz i don't feel after 4 days break i can do it.
but at the end of 1.6 km, i felt like i could make it all the way. so i did.
now the statisctics.
it's 144.96 meters per mins. that means 5 km will take 34.5 mins.
little improvement.
this thursday: 4 km.

3.2 km, yay!
yes, i really made it! non stop 3.2 km.
really felt wasted, but i still had some energy reserve left. probably enough for another 200 m or even 800 m? but 5 km is almost impossible at the current state.
and my time is 22.12.20. maybe i can buy 4D with this, hehe..
so it's about 144.14 metres per mins. with this speed, 5 km will take 34.7 mins. that's if i ever make it to 5 km.
oh, if only i could have done this in high school. my sport grades would be always at least 8.

today, ran 1.2, walked 0.8 and ran 1.2 kilo.
doesn't feel like i'm in total control.
according to
target schedule, it should be 3.2 this thursday.
maybe it has to do with running 1 hour (or less) after eating.
coz last thurs, i didn't have my dinner, and i ruled the session, being able to sprint on the last 200 m.
